Khans in Rajasthan

What is common between Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan? All have a liking for Rajasthan. That’s why all of them were present in Rajasthan on 7th April.

Aamir Khan had arrived in Jaipur for a week-long shooting of the film Rang De Basanti in two languages, Hindi and English. The film stars famous pop star Nelly Furtado, the Portuguese singer. Aamir Khan was accompanied by the film’s director Rakesh Mehra of AKS fame, actor Arjun Rampal of Page 3 fame, actor Sherman Joshi of Style fame, Soha Ali Khan, younger sister of Saif Ali Khan who makes her debut as heroine of the film. She disclosed that she will soon appear in film Shaadi No 1 along with actor Sharman Joshi.

Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji had arrived in Jaipur last month for shooting of the film Paheli directed by Amol Palekar. He arrived in Jaipur on 7th April for shooting of Paheli at a village near Jaipur. And Salman Khan is at village Khimsar, 70 km away from Jodhpur, for shooting Hollywood film Marigold which strs American actress opposite Salman, who plays the role of a Rajasthani boy. Scenes of their ‘wedding’ were filmed at Khimsar Fort. The
film is directed by Willard Carroll.

Describing Rajasthan as an ideal locale of shooting films, he said; “Earlier, we used to go out looking for fine location to shoot but now foreign filmmakers are turning up in India and Rajasthan for fine locations here.”
